Cancellation, Rescheduling & Weather Policy

At Bayou Boat Rentals, we understand that vacation plans can change! We do our best to accommodate reservation changes while keeping our rental schedule fair for all guests.

Standard Cancellation Policy

• 48 Hours or More Before Departure: Cancellations made at least 48 hours before your scheduled rental are eligible for a full refund, minus applicable service fees and any purchased Trip Protection fee.
• Less Than 48 Hours Before Departure: Cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled rental are nonrefundable unless you have purchased Trip Protection and meet its cancellation requirements.
• No-Shows: Failure to arrive for your scheduled reservation is considered a no-show and is nonrefundable.

Optional Trip Protection

Want additional flexibility? Our optional Trip Protection is available for 10% of your rental price and allows you to cancel for ANY reason up to 1 hour before your scheduled departure.

• Receive a refund of eligible reservation charges, excluding the nonrefundable Trip Protection fee.
• Trip Protection must be purchased when making your reservation.
• Cancellations must be requested at least 1 hour before your scheduled departure.
• Trip Protection does not cover no-shows, cancellations made less than 1 hour before departure, or rentals that have already begun.
• All Trip Protection fees are nonrefundable.

Weather-Related Cancellations

Your safety is always our top priority! Weather conditions on St. Joseph Bay can change quickly, and Bayou Boat Rentals reserves the right to cancel or reschedule rentals when conditions are determined to be unsafe.

If Bayou Boat Rentals cancels your reservation due to unsafe weather or boating conditions, you will have the option to:

• Reschedule: Move your reservation to another available date or time.
• Receive a Refund: Receive a full refund of your reservation payment, minus the nonrefundable Trip Protection fee if purchased.

Trip Protection is NOT required to receive a weather-related refund when Bayou Boat Rentals cancels your reservation.

Please understand that rain in the forecast or unfavorable weather alone does not automatically qualify a reservation for cancellation or refund. Weather-related cancellations are determined by Bayou Boat Rentals.

Rescheduling Your Reservation

If you need to change your rental date or time, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your request. All changes are subject to availability and our cancellation policy.

Reservation Times & Late Arrivals

All Bayou Boat Rentals reservations are scheduled in Eastern Time (ET).

It is the guest's responsibility to arrive at the correct scheduled time. Late arrivals or arriving at the wrong time due to time zone confusion will not qualify for refunds, extended rental times, or prorated rates.

Please arrive on time and return your boat or jet ski promptly at the end of your scheduled reservation.

Gift Certificates

Gift cards and gift certificates cannot be redeemed or refunded for cash. Any eligible refunded gift certificate value will remain available to apply toward a future reservation.
